After 13 years shuttling between hemispheres, Danehill Dancer (Ire) remained in Ireland in 2010 but his line looks certain to proper through Choisir and Choisir's globetrotting son Starspangledbanner.

Ambers Waltz has not yet added to Danehill Dancer's stakes tally, in fact she has been winless in 5 starts since breaking her maiden when on debut, but her prizemoney of over $440,000 indicates she has been keeping the best of company.

Her earnings were boosted when runner-up to Military Rose in the rich Magic Millions 2yo Classic in January then filled the same spot in the Silver Slipper Stakes (G2) behind Chance Bye and the Sweet Embrace Stakes (G3) behind subsequent Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily.

She was done for the season with a formline of one win and four seconds from five starts.

The John O'Shea-trained filly made her seasonal debut in the Silver Shadow Stakes (G3) at Warwick Farm on August 21. Although she missed a place for the first time in her career to date, she was far from disgraced with a hard charging seventh, when conceding 2kg, behind Parables.

She meets that Lonhro filly again in Saturday's Furious Stakes (G2) at Randwick.

Bred by prominent owner Keith Biggs, Ambers Waltz was consigned to the Gold Coast Magic Millions sale where Biggs bought her back for $550,000.

She is the second foal of the crack Western Australian mare Ambers Halo (Don't Say Halo) whose 11 ins included three stakes wins highlighted by the Group 3 Hyperion Stakes.

A half-sister to two stakes placed winners, Ambers Halo is out of a half-sister to CB Cox Stakes (G2) winner Ambers Double (Elland Road), 5-time Listed stakes-winner Sugarstone (Serheed) and Listed winner Strictly Amber (Elland Road).
