Description

If you are looking for a Group 1 winning  speed son of  Danehill, that has the ability to produce stock that win at an elite level all over the world, then look no further.

Touchstone Farm is proud to introduce Danasinga (Danehill – Princess Tracy) to their roster for the upcoming 2010 breeding season. The ability to stand a  proven sire by the immortal Danehill is a major accomplishment for Touchstone Farm and the West Australian breeding industry.

Danasinga is a Group 1 winner of the Stradbroke Handicap defeating Encores and Monopolize. He was also placed in the Group 1 Doomben Cup behind Danewin and the  Group 1 Doncaster Handicap behind Sprint By and Juggler. A solid 4th placing in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes behind Doriemus summarises his most memorable performances.

Danasinga’s pedigree can be appreciated worldwide by breeders and trainers alike. He is by the highly acclaimed sire, Danehill and is out of the Group winning Ahonoora mare Princess Tracy, the dam of Tracy’s Element (Last Tycoon), champion 2year old filly and 4 year old mare in South Africa in 1993 and 1995. Tracy’s Element is the dam of champion Australian mare Typhoon Tracy who is a four time Group 1 winner and stakes winner Red Element. Danasinga is closely related to a very successful WA sire, with his dam (Princess Tracy) being the half sister to the dam of Bletchley Park.

After initially beginning his stud career at Waikato Stud in New Zealand Danasinga was relocated to Baerami Thoroughbred in New South Wales. His stud record to date is an impressive one, producing 30 stakes winners with 17 of those being Group winners and 3 individual Group 1 winners. The most notable of these, Metal Bender is a dual Group 1 winner with the AJC Randwick Guineas and the STC Rosehill Guineas under his belt. A second placing in the Group 1AJC Queen Elizabeth Stakes and a victory in the Group 2 Holindale Stakes has taken his total stake earnings to well over a million dollars. Danasinga's two other Group 1 winners are Portland Singa, who is also a million dollar earner and Piachay who won the Brisbane Cup. Danasinga’s progeny have banked over 33 million dollars in prize money to date.

Touchstone Farm welcomes Danasinga to their stallion roster, confident of his prospects and he will no doubt be a sizeable asset to the West Australian breeding industry. His current service fee is excellent value for an eminent stallion, with the aim that local breeders may have the opportunity to breed to a such a high quality and proven sire.
